Free-agent CB Richard Sherman says he wants to play for a contender and is waiting for the right opportunity to do so, via Bloomberg.com.
“I want to get to a team that’s competing for a championship, so that’s what I’m focused on and waiting for a right opportunity. When it comes, that’s where I’ll be,” Sherman told Bloomberg.com on Friday. Sherman, 33, started five games last season and recorded 18 total tackles, one interception, and one pass defense. He missed 11 games with a lingering calf strain.
