Raiders’ TE Darren Waller says his agent is negotiating a new deal with team officials.
“My agent is working on that,” Waller said on the @rosstuckerpod. “I understand it, but I know if I focus on it too much, it could take away from my job and learning a new system and just continuing to try to elevate and take care of my body in the right way. I try to focus on those things and let my agent handle that. When decisions need to be made, decisions need to be made.”
Waller, 29, is entering the third year of his 4-year/$29.8M contract and is due to make a base salary of $6.250M over the final two years of the agreement. Waller’s current deal has no guaranteed money left and it leaves him as the 17th highest paid tight end in the NFL.
