Report:The NFL will argue for a “significant” suspension for Browns’ QB Deshaun Watson

The NFL will argue for a “significant” suspension for Browns’ QB Deshaun Watson for violating the league’s personal conduct policy, per Mark Maske of the @washingtonpost.

A source on Watson’s side of the case told Maske that the NFL will “probably” push for a season long suspension.

A rep close to the NFL said: “Significant would be the proper term” when asked about the length of Watson’s looming suspension, but said nothing is final as of now, per Maske.

The NFLPA intends to defend Watson by pointing out the NFL’s refusal to suspend owners Robert Kraft, Daniel Snyder, and Jerry Jones for their separate conduct violations, per @washingtonpost.

The NFL will share its findings with new disciplinary officer Sue L. Robinson and hope to conclude the investigation before the Browns open training camp on July 27th.

Watson, 26, is facing 24 active civil lawsuits by women accusing him of sexual misconduct during massage sessions. Two more civil suits are expected to be filed in the near future, per Attorney Tony Buzbee.
